Sewing can be a wonderful hobby to take up. My finace’s uncle had an extra one in his garage that he gave me a month or so back which I am very stoked about. All I needed to pay for was the bobbins, bobbin case, and needles. With the help of our friendly old lady next door, I learned how to thread the machine properly. Just yesterday I crafted a patch out of an old pair of jeans and sewed it to my man’s nicest chef coat to hide the emblem of a previous restaurant. Needless to say, I am very excited to proceed with my crafting adventures, especially since I found a great place to source my fabrics and trimmings over the weekend, our local swap meet! This sewing hobby is in full force and coming together nicely. My Textile Art Pinterest Board can finally be used! Also, I’m so happy it’s coming together just in time for Halloween costumes, holiday decor, and Christmas presents to be made. Not to mention I also can mend my ripped pencil skirts for church.
